Turmeric Ginger Shots (With Garlic) Does it taste as bad as it sounds?
Yes, you read that right. Tumeric. Ginger. Garlic. All mixed together? Sounds disgusting, I know.
In case you have no idea what Tumeric is, or what garlic looks like in it’s raw form, here you go. Looks delicious, right? You’re welcome.
Tumeric Ginger Shots Recipe (With Garlic)
- 4 inches of Tumeric
- 4 inches of Ginger
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 2 Oranges Juiced (I use this Citrus Juicer – it is amazing!)
Learning from past mistakes
The first time I tried a Turmeric shot and Ginger shot with garlic I made a costly mistake. I didn’t follow the directions – and I guessed with my measurements. Rookie mistake, I know. But I never was much of a cook.
Turned out I was off, way off in my measurements. I added too much garlic, too much turmeric and not enough OJ and instead used water to make up the difference.
The result? I felt like I was drinking poison!
It might of been the worst tasting drink I have ever drank. I couldn’t get it down.
It was then that I lost all hope in this hardly edible drink combo. I didn’t care how “healing” it was, I was never going to do that to myself again.
Fast forward a few weeks and I am sick again. Desperate to come out of this, again! And my mind went back to this recipe.
Tumeric Ginger Shots
- 4 inches of Tumeric
- 4 inches of Ginger
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 2 Oranges Juiced (I use this Citrus Juicer – it is amazing!)
So I decided to actually look up the exact recipe on the Medical Medium website and follow the directions with one modification.
I used 2 garlic cloves instead of 4. (I was experiencing PTSD from overdoing it on the garlic the first time around)
It ended up really not tasting bad at all! So here is the EXACT recipe I used.
